Wasini Boat Tour

• You will be picked up in Mombasa, or the South Coast in a van or bus.

• Enjoy a scenic drive south to the fishing village of Shimoni (meaning "the place of the hole" in Swahili, referring to its historical caves).

• Upon arrival in Shimoni, you'll be briefed and fitted for snorkeling gear.
• You'll board a traditional wooden dhow (sailing boat) or a motorized boat for the trip to the marine park.

• he main event! The boat will cruise through the crystal-clear waters towards the protected Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park.
• The crew will expertly look for pods of bottlenose and humpback dolphins. Seeing them is very common, though not 100% guaranteed.
• You will anchor at a prime snorkeling spot. The water is shallow, warm, and incredibly clear, teeming with colorful fish and living coral.
• The crew provides life jackets, and even non-swimmers can enjoy watching the fish from the boat.

• After snorkeling, you'll sail to Wasini Island itself.
• You'll be welcomed with a fresh tamarind juice drink.
• A massive and delicious Swahili seafood lunch is served on a rooftop terrace with stunning ocean views. The meal typically includes:

• On the return to the Shimoni jetty, most tours include a visit to the Shimoni Slave Caves.
• A local guide will take you through these natural caves, which were used as a holding pen for slaves before they were shipped to Zanzibar. It's a sobering but important historical experience.
